About Us

Australian Junior Snowboarding Committee
We are the Australian Junior Series Committee (AJS). We are a sub-committee of NSW Snowsports. The Australian Junior Series is the premier junior snowboarding event in Australia and it focuses on participation for riders of all levels and abilities in a safe and fun environment. It is a national event with stops in NSW and Victoria and includes Halfpipe, Slopestyle, Big Air and Boarder Cross. The AJS Committee have held, for the first time in 2010, the Australian Rookie Fest, an event that is part of the World Rookie Fest and internationally recognised as the benchmark for young freeride snowboarders . Both events are part of the world tour ranking system called TTR (Ticket to Ride). Our events attract not only our top Australian Athletes, but overseas riders as well. These events support the progression of our young riders through to elite international events both on the TTR tour and the World Cup and Olympic stages. Funds raised to date have been used to bring the first TTR Rookie Fest in the southern hemisphere to Australia and have subsidised young riders to travel to the new Victorian stop of the Australian Junior Series. We support grassroots snowboarding in Australia.
